The Society with the PSG organised on the 1st day of the new school year, “Back to School with Dad” for parents, especially fathers, of the incoming Secondary 1 batch, who have come to St. Patrick’s with their son.
Breakfast was sponsored by the PSG, while the school tour for parents was led by our society members.
Welcome Address from The Patrician Society
The President of the Ex-Co shared with Parents on how our Patricians have made a difference in the lives of Singaporeans, from High Office to leaders in the Civil Service and in the Armed Forces, and from leaders of business and industry to those leading a religious life. Values assimilated in St Patrick’s last a lifetime.
Do note that many alumnus (students and staff) who are imbibed with these Patrician ethos and values, do make a difference in their chosen fields and have thrived; notable Patricians being Dr Tony Tan, and BG George Yeo. Besides them there are George Bogaars, Barry Desker, Joseph Conceicao, Sidek Saniff, Yee Jenn Jong, Patrick Tay, Chong Chieng Jen, Dominic Goh, Datuk Brian Chang, Lui Pao Chuen, Vincent Khoo, Dennis Yong, Adam Khoo, Moses Lee, Edmond Pereira SC, Christopher Wong, Dr Barry Pereira, Ken Ng, Roy Redrup, Brian Chiao, Brendon Richards, The Crescendos, The McCoys, The Meltones, Happy J’s, Joe & Mel, Jimmy Appradurai, Edmund Branson, Teo Boon Chye, Kelvin Ng, Andrew Seow, Brian Richmond, Hayden Ng, Alvin Tan, Cryil Wong, Paddy Chew, Cheah Kim Teck, Godfrey Jalleh, Royston Jalleh, Victor Pereira, Mervyn Pereira, Stewart Ballard, Kelly Chan, Steven Tan, Andrew Seow, Lawrence Choy, Albert Hee, Johnson Yap, Mickey Koh, Travis Woodford to name but a few.
We also have amongst our alumni 2 Catholic Monsignors, 14 Catholic Priests, 2 Catholic Nuns, and 4 Catholic Brothers. The De La Salle Brothers presence in school is very much experienced by our current Patricians daily basis with Br Nicholas Seet teaching in St Patrick’s. There is much to be proud of being a Patrician!!
A note of thanks!!
We thank our members who have helped with the school tour for parents of the 2017 intake. Thanks too to our parents of the Sec 1 boys who participated in the tour… we hope it has provided a balanced perspective of the school and it’s history of 84 years.
